Shannon, Shiau and I went out this morning. We had pastry and coffee at my favorite spot.

During these Muslim periods, Córdoba was transformed into a world leading center of education and learning, producing figures such as Maimonides, Averroes, Ibn Hazm, and Al-Zahrawi, and by the 10th century it had grown to be the second-largest city in Europe. Following the Christian conquest in 1236, it became part of the Crown of Castile. Our hotel was 5mins away from the train station. We went for a nice evening walk around town after a quick rest at hotel rooms.
哥多華作為後倭馬亞王朝的首都與哈里發的駐地，統治整個伊比利半島時所留下的。據估算，哥多華在十世紀時有二十多萬居民，曾是西歐最大的城市，也是伊比利的文化、科技與政治中心。我們的旅館只離車站五分鐘路程，我們走過去放下行李休息一下就出門晃晃看夜景。
